2012 Retrospective

United-Kingdom-flag-iconAnother year is almost behind us. Hope you’re ready for the New Year’s Eve and you’ll say goodbye to 2012 with style. Since we have only one day left in this year, it’s time to remember the most beautiful moments that have marked it. The year is definitely too long to fit in just one post, but I will try to sort out my favourite ones.

I wish you a very Happy New Year!

Find below what it looked like my year of 2012:

Year could not start better! With my favourite OR girls and our better halves, we welcomed 2012 dressed as icon of style Audrey Hepburn. It was a real “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

The new year brought a new OR gatherings. First one we spent on island of Vir in February, including Zadar and shopping in the Supernova.

Vir and Zadar were followed by the most beautiful coffee spot. Or in Varazdin.

For Labor Day I was in Istanbul. Since I wrote about this trip in my blog, you already know that I enjoyed every moment in this city situated on two continents.

In May, June and July I spent wonderful time with my new Eurodyssee friends in Varazdin. It was an ideal opportunity to speak Spanish, but the most important thing is that I gained valuable friendships with great guys from Spain, Portugal and France.

The favourite weekend in June, prolonged one, I spent in wonderful camp Slapić at River of Mreznica. With the cheerful company from Varadinske Toplice I had a great time in beautiful ambiance, surrounded by pristine nature. We enjoyed a few days in the sun, with a lot of good food followed by good emotions. It was indeed a weekend to remember.

Summer has come and it was time for holidays! The first part of it I spent with my love at Island of Vir. Seaside, Sun, love, friendship, dancing, memorable drunkenness, Thai food, Nin mud, Queen’s Beach … It was really a perfect vacation! ❤

After great week we spent on Vir we moved farther to the south coast. So, we spent another memorable week with our friends in Makarska. 😉

Since I love the seaside so much, after a short stay in Varazdin I spent a few more days with my OR girls again at Vir.

Back in June my girls and I bought vouchers for the great adrenaline Park in Lika “Rizvan city“, situated near Gospic. Besides enjoying the sea and the sun, we also enjoyed a dose of adrenaline.

As we didn’t see Ivana at all this year except on the OR in February, we finally spent time with her in Gospic. ❤

Although we had a limited time, Mihaela, Helena and I still have managed to reach the great Buffalo Bill City in Vrsi, near Zadar. Designed as a replica of cowboy towns from western movies, Buffalo Bill City is introducing the whole story of former lifestyle.

Another Špancirfest and 10 days of good emotions. If you have not visited Varazdin for Špancirfest yet, do not miss the next one, which takes place at the end of August every year.

Mihaela, Helena  and I also spent the fall in beautiful Trakošćan.

Several weekends in a row in September has been marked by visiting the European Capital of Culture of 2012. – Maribor.

4th of October was certainly a special day for me. I published my first post and I joined the world of bloggers. Although writing can be quite exhausting and it requires a lot of my free time, for now I really enjoy it and I hope the new year will bring many exciting trips and much more topics to write. 🙂

One of my long expected wish finally came true. I bought brand new camera, Nikon D3100 and I am in love with it.

Another OR in Porec, which marked the unbearable tempest in Istria, a blizzard that has accompanied us on the way back home, shopping in neighbouring Slovenia, fighting with Chinese chopsticks and visiting our Opatija.

Finally we were greeted by the last part of the famous vampires Edward and Bella. It was a wonderful gilry trip to Zagreb. We got some coffee in the shopping centre Arena, we watched Twilight in the Gold Class cinema, we enjoyed some daredevil games in the casino and we got a few drinks in famous bar Roko were we used to go out as students… I love this tradition! ❤

I am also one of those crazy girls who fell in love with Mr. Grey.

In late November I spent 4 wonderful days in London. Helena and I immediately fell in love with the capital of England and we are looking forward to get back there as soon as possible. We have so much more to see ….

This year’s Advent season I spent with my loved ones at the Austrian lakes. You already had the opportunity to see more about it on my blog.

After freezing in cold Austria, my OR girls and I decided to warm up in the luscious and intimate spa of hotel Trakošćan.

The next weekend of Advent I decided to take the family in our capital. Since my idea was immediately accepted, after a long long time I have spent a wonderful day along with my parents, brother, my future sister-in-law and my love.

As every year so far I’ve adorned the four Christmas trees and I love the most my angels. ❤

There were so many wonderful moments in this year which I will remember forever. I hope that you enjoy recalling yours. I wish us all many more beautiful moments in the years to come!

And now – let the party begin! xoxo

P.S. Collect moments, not things ❤
